Xl-21 Low Voltage Power Distribution Cabinet

Xl-21 Low Voltage Power Distribution Cabinet

The XL-21 low-voltage power distribution cabinet (box) is appropriate for industries and mines such as metallurgy, mining, petroleum, chemical industry, textile, ports, stations, etc., as a three-phase three-wire AC 50Hz, rated voltage 400V or 660V, rated current 630A It is used in low-voltage power distribution systems with four or five wires to distribute electricity and provide lights. It may also be used to regulate squirrel cage and wound-type motors in low-voltage control systems.

The XL-21 low voltage power distribution cabinet is the workhorse distribution box of Chinese industry — one compact cabinet that splits an incoming low voltage supply into multiple outgoing motor and lighting circuits. In its standard form it serves three-phase 50 Hz systems at 400 V or 660 V with rated current up to 630 A, across metallurgy, mining, petroleum, chemical, textile, port, and station applications, and it can also carry the control for squirrel-cage and wound-type motors.

We build XL-21 cabinets to your circuit schedule — breaker and starter selections, wiring, and terminal arrangements completed and tested in the workshop before shipment. The same floor has produced 4,000+ electrical projects since 2010, with CNC punching, bending, and welding keeping every cabinet drilled, formed, and finished to drawing.

Description

  • XL-21 power distribution box is divided into two types. The box height 1700mm and 1800mm is the ordinary type (P type).
  • The box is installed independently and the top can be opened and accessed according to the requirements.
  • Wire holes: cabinets with a height of 1900mm and above are top busbar type (M type), and the top of the box is equipped with a removable cover to facilitate busbar installation and removal.
  • Using precision cast adjustable door hinges, the door can open more than 135°. The mounting bracket in the box can be adjusted as a whole after the components are installed. Can be installed according to different usage environments
  • It has strong versatility and can be used in combination with multiple units. The power cabinets are made separately. Wire holes are opened between the cabinets in a well-communicated manner, and the channel steel base is designed to correspond to all the
  • The width of the cabinet is individually configured, that is, one cabinet is equipped with an independent base, and the mounting holes for the ground are punched. All floor-standing cabinets need to be equipped with lifting rings (including indoor and outdoor), and the lower part of the power cabinet

In addition to the regular stock sizes of the power distribution cabinet, the width (400~1000mm), height (1600~2200mm), and depth (400~800mm) can be adjusted arbitrarily according to actual needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

XL-21 or GGD — which do I need?

Scale decides: XL-21 is a compact single cabinet for machine-side and workshop-end distribution at up to 630 A, while GGD is a framed switchboard row for main LV intake and distribution at much higher busbar currents. Small plants run XL-21 alone; larger ones use GGD rows with XL-21 cabinets at the load ends.

Can XL-21 cabinets include motor control?

Yes — beyond straightforward distribution, the cabinet can carry starter circuits for squirrel-cage and wound-type motors, which is exactly why it appears beside pumps, fans, and conveyors in mining and metallurgical plants. The circuit schedule we build to defines the mix.

Wall-mounted or floor-standing installation?

Both executions exist and the choice follows circuit count, device sizes, and cable access on site — smaller schedules hang on walls, heavier ones stand on the floor. We confirm the mounting and cable-entry arrangement from your installation details when quoting.

Which standards apply?

As a low voltage assembly, XL-21 falls under the GB 7251 series corresponding to IEC 61439. We design and document to these standards and deliver the assembly documentation with the cabinet.
