Define the single-pump duty
A simplex pump control panel coordinates one pump with level or pressure signals, start/stop logic, overload or drive protection, local controls, and alarms. The process duty and failure response should be defined before choosing the starter or drive.
Inputs to collect
| Input | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Pump and motor data | Establishes current, starting, and protection interfaces |
| Level or pressure instruments | Defines automatic commands and alarm thresholds |
| Operating modes | Separates automatic, local, remote, and maintenance states |
| Valve and permissive signals | Coordinates the pump with the process |
| Environment and cable entry | Determines enclosure, access, drainage, and routing |
Scope boundary
This guide does not size the pump, guarantee flow, or provide a wiring safety procedure. Confirm the final sequence and protection with the responsible engineers.
