An electrical distribution board should be selected from the circuit schedule, source, protection, environment, and maintenance model. A board name or enclosure size is not enough to define the final configuration.

Required project inputs

Record incoming supply, voltage, phase, circuit count, loads, protection, metering, grounding, fault information, cable entries, location, temperature, dust, moisture, access, labels, and future circuits. Identify the owner of the one-line and coordination decisions.

Review the board arrangement

Check mounting, bus or terminal arrangement, component spacing, heat, door access, cable bend radius, segregation, spare capacity, and documentation. The selected product drawing and accessories must match the final assembly.

  2. Source, load, protection, grounding, and fault inputs.
  3. Environment, cable entry, mounting, heat, access, and expansion.
  4. Product drawing, labels, manuals, spares, and records.
