For each device, record protocol, port type, address ownership, cable or fiber entry, power source, diagnostics, and whether the device is supplied by the panel builder or another vendor.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Separate_control_from_network_assumptions\"><\/span>Separate control from network assumptions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Define which signals are hardwired and which are networked. Record the control narrative, update or scan expectations supplied by the project team, alarm ownership, and what happens if communication is lost. Do not promise a protocol, topology, or cybersecurity feature without a confirmed project requirement.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Panel_design_inputs\"><\/span>Panel design inputs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Review switch placement, segregation, cable bend radius, grounding, shielding, spare ports, service access, heat, and labeling.
