Control Panels

VFD Control Panel Diagram: Power, Control, and Interface Elements

Industrial Control Panels

Read the diagram as two linked circuits

A VFD control-panel diagram should separate the power path from control and communication interfaces. It should show incoming isolation and protection, the drive, motor connection, control power, commands, references, feedback, alarms, and grounding or EMC boundaries.

Inputs to verify

ElementWhy it matters
Source and motor dataEstablishes electrical duty
Drive and bypassDefines normal and maintenance paths
Commands and referencesPrevents ambiguous control ownership
Feedback and alarmsDocuments status, faults, and process signals
Cable and groundingCoordinates EMC, shielding, and motor routing

Scope boundary

This is a diagram-reading guide, not a wiring or live-work instruction. Verify the final drawing against the selected drive and project requirements.
